Modern School congratulates Mr Kirti Azad, Class of 1976, for his election as a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha. Kirtivardhan Bhagwat Jha Azad is an Indian politician and former cricketer. He played seven Test matches and 25 one-day internationals for the Indian national cricket team between 1980 and 1986. An aggressive right-hand batsman and a quick off-spinner, he was a member of the Indian team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He began his political career in 2014 when he won the Lok Sabha election for Darbhanga, Bihar
Modern School congratulates Mr Jayant Chaudhary, Class of 1996, on becoming the 5th Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in the present government. After completing a Master's from the London School of Economics, United Kingdom, he began his political career in 2009 when he was chosen to represent Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India, as a Member of Parliament. He was elected from Uttar Pradesh to the Rajya Sabha in 2022. He played a key role in the Land Acquisition Issue and was instrumental in introducing a Private Member Bill on Land Acquisition in the Lok Sabha.
