Capacity Building Workshop for NDMC Teachers by Modern Institute for Education
The Modern Institute for Education, in collaboration with the New Delhi Municipal Council, has started a year-long initiative to train teachers from NDMC schools. The capacity-building programme includes workshops and online and offline sessions, focusing on helping teachers implement innovative teaching-learning methods in their classrooms. In continuation of the initiative, a two-day workshop on Play-Based Pedagogy was held in June 2024.
The aim was to help teachers understand how effective the play-based activities become when aligned with learning aims and objectives. It also aimed at suggesting simple hands-on experiments, role-play activities, art-integrated activities, songs, and music to teach concepts of language and literacy, science, math, etc.
